SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Investigates, evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain and improve production efficiencies while assisting in the development of plant improvement projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below. Evaluates, and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines. Assist with Preventative Maintenance as needed Know and apply written safety procedures. Inspect work areas, and look for unsafe acts. Complete projects/assignments safely and efficiently. Effectively use verbal and written communications. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

EDUCATION

Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred:

2-year degree in related fields, electrical experience/classroom knowledge, basic hydraulics/pneumatics experience, basic PLC knowledge

EXPERIENCE

Required:

Post-secondary maintenance training certifications and 3 years maintenance experience definitely a plus. Strong knowledge of industrial systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic), knowledge of Robotics including servos & vision system a plus

SKILLS:

Required:

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift. Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting. Strong commitment to safety a must, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, self-motived, work with minimal supervision, good written & verbal communication skills, good work ethic, analytical in nature, strong problem solver, and good trouble shooting skills. This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical Aptitude a plus. While performing the essential functions and duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands & arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays
