In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of building systems and infrastructure. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance skills in a fast-paced setting. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance. Conduct repairs using hand tools, welding equipment, schematics, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot issues accurately. Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, lighting fixtures, HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical systems. Execute painting projects—residential painting or maintenance painting—to keep facilities looking professional and well-maintained. Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks effectively. Supervise or assist with projects involving carpentry, electrical work, plumbing repairs, or HVAC system upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants and communicating clearly about repair timelines and solutions. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), with knowledge of schematics and technical manuals. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters. Electrical experience including electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting electrical systems safely. Familiarity with HVAC system repair and building interior maintenance practices. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair along with general facilities maintenance tasks. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for complex systems; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Knowledge of residential painting techniques as well as maintenance painting for commercial or industrial settings. Supervising experience is preferred; leadership skills are essential for guiding junior team members or contractors when needed. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks effectively across teams and with vendors. Experience working with CMMS platforms to manage work orders efficiently.
