Position Overview Mr. Honey Do Services NWI is seeking a highly skilled Handyman with an emphasis in Plumbing and Electrical to join our growing team serving Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton, and the surrounding Northwest Indiana area. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys troubleshooting problems, and has strong hands-on experience performing residential plumbing and electrical repairs while also possessing broad construction and remodeling skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable completing a wide variety of residential repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks while delivering exceptional customer service on-site. Key ResponsibilitiesPlumbing & Electrical Service Work Diagnose and repair common residential plumbing and electrical issues Replace faucets, sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, and fixtures Install and replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and exhaust fans Troubleshoot plumbing and electrical problems and determine effective solutions Perform fixture upgrades and minor modifications safely and professionally Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and applicable codes Residential Repair, Construction & Remodeling Perform a wide range of handyman, maintenance, and residential construction tasks Assist with kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects, including: Cabinet installation Tile work Finish carpentry Flooring and trim work Fixture installation Complete general home repairs and improvement projects with attention to quality and efficiency Maintain strong craftsmanship and attention to detail across all work performed Skilled Trades Work Perform work across multiple residential trades, including: Carpentry and trim installation Drywall repair, finishing, and texture matching Painting and finishing work Tile installation and flooring Plumbing repairs and fixture replacement Electrical repairs and fixture installation Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Complete jobs safely, professionally, and efficiently Customer Service & Communication Serve as a professional and personable representative of the company on job sites Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding project scope, repairs, and recommendations Answer customer questions and provide solutions in a courteous and professional manner Ensure every client has a positive service experience from start to finish Identify additional repair and improvement opportunities when appropriate QualificationsExperience Prior experience in handyman services, residential construction, remodeling, plumbing, or electrical work required Strong residential plumbing and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred Experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling preferred Demonstrated ability to perform work across multiple trades independently Proven ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently Skills Strong plumbing and electrical repair skills Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Good communication and customer service skills Reliable, efficient, and highly organized Requirements Must have your own tools Valid Indiana driver's license and clean driving record Reliable transportation (truck, van, or SUV preferred) Smartphone for communication and job management Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, and working with tools and materials Professional, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
