Full Benefits Package Job Overview University of Kansas Great Bend is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of hospital buildings, grounds, and equipment. Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will perform general and routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs throughout designated areas of the facility. This position will also respond to daily non-scheduled maintenance requests and help ensure a safe, functional healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general and routine maintenance and servicing of hospital buildings, grounds, and equipment. Complete assigned preventive maintenance (PM) activities. Respond to daily and non-scheduled maintenance work requests. Perform basic maintenance related to plumbing, heating, electrical systems, and building equipment . Assist with maintaining facility sanitation, safety, and operational standards. Inspect equipment and building systems and identify maintenance needs. Help ensure compliance with applicable fire and life-safety regulations . Maintain assigned areas of the hospital and ensure facilities remain safe and operational. Respond to urgent maintenance needs when assigned to on-call coverage. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent/GED. 1+ year of related maintenance experience.

Building maintenance Plumbing systems Heating systems Electrical systems Sanitation Fire and safety regulations Must be 21 years of age or older . Must possess a valid driver's license . Ability to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance requests. Schedule & On-Call Requirements Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM . On-call every 4th week. On-call assignments require a 30-minute response time . May be required to provide on-call coverage on weekends and holidays. Compensation & Benefits $15.50-$26.24/hour , depending on experience.
