As a Maintenance Technician at Flaherty & Collins Properties, you'll have the chance to showcase your skills, tackle a variety of tasks, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.
What You'll Do:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed. Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently. Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations. Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents. Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary. Perform snow and ice removal. Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed. Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned. What Makes You a
Great Fit:
You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
HVAC/EPA
certifications or similar credentials are a plus, along with a willingness to learn and grow. You have hands-on experience in maintenance, with skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. You're a team player who communicates effectively and works well with others. You're detail-oriented and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You're proactive and enjoy solving problems with practical solutions. You're dependable and flexible, ready to handle after-hours or weekend emergencies when needed.
