Job Description Job Description Job Description Swimming Pool Construction Technician Energy Center-Manhattan Pool Manhattan, Kansas Full-Time Year-Round $23-$27 per hour, based on experience Build a Career in a Specialized Construction Trade For more than 20 years, Energy Center-Manhattan Pool has been designing and building custom swimming pools and outdoor spaces for homeowners throughout the region. We build concrete, fiberglass, and vinyl liner pools, with much of our work completed by our own team to maintain quality from the ground up. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Swimming Pool Construction Technician to join our growing construction team. You do not need previous swimming pool construction experience to apply. We are intentionally looking beyond the pool industry for people with transferable skills in construction, concrete, pavers, hardscaping, carpentry, site work, or similar hands-on trades. If you understand construction basics, know your way around common tools, and take pride in quality work, we can teach you the pool-specific skills. Open to candidates currently living outside the Manhattan, Kansas area who are interested in relocating for the right long-term career opportunity. Learn more about us at What You'll Do As part of our construction crew, you may work across multiple stages of residential swimming pool construction, including: Layout, measuring, excavation, and site preparation Pool wall assembly, forms, structural components, and rebar Concrete, fiberglass, and vinyl liner pool installation Pavers, decking, tile, and finish work Pool equipment installation and pool-specific construction tasks Reading and following project plans, measurements, and specifications Safely operating hand and power tools Maintaining clean, organized, and professional jobsites Working closely with team members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to quality standards As your skills grow, you may take on additional technical responsibilities and leadership opportunities. What We're Looking For We welcome applicants with experience in one or more of the following: General construction Concrete work Pavers or hardscaping Landscaping construction Carpentry Excavation or site work Other hands-on construction or skilled trade experience You should also bring: Familiarity with common construction tools and terminology Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Dependable attendance and reliable work habits Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew Willingness to learn new skills and construction techniques Willingness to work overtime when project schedules require it What We Offer This is a full-time, year-round position , not seasonal work. $23-$27 per hour, based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with 3.5% company match Pension plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Life and disability insurance Employee discounts Paid training and certification opportunities Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility Company-sponsored events and employee recognition programs We provide on-the-job training in pool-specific construction methods, equipment, and technology.
