Equipment would include steam and hot water boilers, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment including fans, motors, thermostats, steam traps, and regulating controls. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The Maintenance Technician works both independently and collaboratively to address maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner while supporting overall facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment Complete repairs and modifications related to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot facility issues Maintain a safe and compliant environment by following all policies and regulations Assist with facility upkeep, inspections, and general repairs Document completed work and report ongoing maintenance needs Support department operations and complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Experience in maintenance within a hospital or healthcare setting desirable
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems desirable Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Basic computer skills for documentation and work orders Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Licensure, Registration, or Certification:
