Starting at $15.00 - $18.00/hr! As a Maintenance Technician at Crosswinds Casino, you'll handle everything from general repairs and preventative maintenance to construction projects and landscaping touches—making sure our property stays safe, functional, and guest-ready. JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective of the Maintenance Technician is to perform general maintenance for the Crosswinds Casino and Resort. This role will follow the direction outlined by the Facilities Manager. Team members will follow company policies and procedures to ensure Crosswinds standards are maintained with a clean, safe, and attractive environment for all team members, patrons, and vendors of Crosswinds Casino.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide stellar customer experience. Actively participate in any promotional customer service programs. Responsible for all general maintenance and repairs of minor problems throughout the complex as directed by supervisor. Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment and facility structure as assigned. Properly operating company vehicles, utility vehicles, and equipment. Maintain grounds of the complex, including snow removal. Assisting with deep cleaning of facility exterior, kitchen, and ensuring grounds are well kept and free of trash and debris. Store and maintain record of sensitive business documentation. Perform all responsibilities associated with disposal of sensitive business documentation. Must be able to work in outside conditions that are hot, cold, or other inclement weather conditions. Provide for the safety of team members and adhere to OSHA regulations by maintaining all work areas and all job duties in a safe and responsible manner including use of appropriate personal protective equipment where applicable and keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, etc. Maintain additional cleanliness of facility areas including picking up debris/litter, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning ashtrays and removal and transport of garbage/recycling, and laundry services. Stock and supply all service areas with appropriate cleaning supplies. Maintain all work areas and all job duties in a safe and responsible manner including use of appropriate personal protective equipment where applicable and keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter. Maintain additional cleanliness of facility areas including picking up debris/litter, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning ashtrays and removal and transport of garbage/recycling, and laundry services. Stock and supply all service areas with appropriate cleaning supplies. Regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, etc. Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements. Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Understands and adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department. Comply with Casino policies and procedures, gaming laws and regulations, and anything relating to security of monies, guest security, and emergency procedures. Any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business or any reasonable request made by your supervisor or management personnel.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work in areas containing high noise levels and second hand smoke. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and guests. Must have strong self-discipline and ability to work in a team environment and solo.
Preferred:
High School diploma or GED and at least one year of mechanical work experience preferred. Any licenses or certification with HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Construction, etc. Ability to have a flexible schedule to provide for Casino requirements. Ability to recognize problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrate good judgment and positive interactions with management, co-workers and guests.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people. Read, write, understand, and verbally communicate using appropriate English standards of language. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
LICENSING
Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 1. Ability to stand and walk for entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties. 2. Occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 3. Regularly squatting or bending, and lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or moving up to 50 lbs. 4. Must be able to work in outside conditions and hot or cold environments for periods of time. 5. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 50lbs in emergency situations. 6. Ability to function in a smoking environment. 7. Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times. 8. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 9. The noise levels in the work environment are constant. 10. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout work day. 11. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties. 12. Efficiently function in an environment with blinking/blinding lights.
