Maintenance Tech

A growing property management company is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operations of residential properties. This position is responsible for maintaining building systems, completing repairs, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents and staff. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on apartments, building systems, and common areas Maintain heaters, air-conditioning units, hot water systems, and related equipment Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of buildings and grounds Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues as needed Prepare vacant units for new residents, including furniture removal and appliance delivery Maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairways, laundry rooms, sidewalks, and outdoor areas Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, edging, and seasonal property maintenance Respond to emergency maintenance situations including flooding, sewer backups, and severe weather conditions Report safety concerns, property damage, vandalism, or unusual incidents to management immediately Accurately document maintenance work and repairs through work orders Attend required meetings and training sessions Perform additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Previous maintenance or property maintenance experience preferred Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be comfortable using power equipment and basic maintenance tools Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently
