Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30
PM Once Trained Rotating Saturday:
6:00 AM-10:00
AM On-Call Requirement:
Must be available for emergency breakdown calls after hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Range:
Dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skill level; Minimum pay $23.00 an hour. Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and mechanically minded Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our facility. This position will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and building issues, assist with repairs, and respond to equipment breakdowns. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a strong mechanical aptitude, is willing to learn, and can work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and assist with repairs. Use a multimeter to test and troubleshoot electrical components. Understand the basic principles of amps, volts, and ohms and how they relate to electrical troubleshooting. Perform general building maintenance and repairs as needed. Perform the maintenance and repair of forklifts, dock equipment, doors, and other facility equipment. Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and maintenance calls, including after-hours calls. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE. Work effectively in refrigerated and freezer environments when required. Complete other maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Previous mechanical or maintenance experience preferred. Previous experience with forklifts, dock equipment, overhead/industrial doors, building maintenance, or similar equipment is a plus, but not required. Must have a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and be able to use a multimeter . Must understand what an amp, ohm, and volt are and their basic relationship to electrical systems. Previous forklift operation experience preferred but not required. Must be willing and able to learn new equipment, processes, and skills. Must demonstrate a willingness to grow and evolve within the position. Must be dependable and able to work independently. Must be available to respond to emergency breakdown calls after hours, day or night , as needed. Must be able to work in freezer temperatures ranging from approximately 0°F to -25°F while wearing required PPE. Must be able to push, pull, lift, and move equipment/materials as required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds . Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing as needed.
