Join trak group in partnering with a manufacturing client seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support complex manufacturing equipment, CNC machinery, plant utilities, and facility systems. This is a highly technical, hands-on role responsible for advanced troubleshooting, equipment installations and rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC systems. The ideal candidate brings extensive industrial maintenance experience and the ability to independently diagnose complex equipment issues while also mentoring and developing less-experienced maintenance team members.

Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify manufacturing equipment, machine tools, and auxiliary systems. Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and CNC equipment issues. Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and upgrade CNC machines and control systems. Install and troubleshoot PLC controls and industrial automation systems. Support plant facilities, utilities, HVAC systems, and building infrastructure. Perform equipment installations, relocations, rigging, and service layouts. Test machinery following repairs, modifications, rebuilds, and installations to verify proper operation. Participate in machine rebuild projects and maintain detailed documentation of completed work. Install and maintain motors, starters, breakers, lighting, and electrical distribution equipment. Create, read, interpret, revise, and maintain electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and blueprints. Perform preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for technical support, service, replacement parts, and repair planning. Obtain vendor quotes and assist in determining repair solutions. Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed. Document maintenance activities and work orders within the maintenance management system. Train, mentor, and provide technical support to maintenance technicians, apprentices, and new employees. Support cross-training and ongoing technical development within the maintenance team. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while supporting 6S initiatives. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Must-Haves Completion of a recognized maintenance apprenticeship or 8+ years of related industrial maintenance experience. Advanced knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems. Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery and control systems. Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial automation. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to obtain an Electrician License. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read, create, interpret, and revise technical drawings and schematics. Experience with machine installation, repair, modification, and rebuilding. Strong analytical troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving abilities. Ability to use precision measuring instruments, electrical testing equipment, and maintenance tools. Working knowledge of shop mathematics, formulas, charts, and technical references. Strong communication skills with the ability to train and mentor other maintenance employees. Ability to independently handle complex maintenance assignments. Preferred Experience supporting HVAC, plant utilities, and facility infrastructure. Machine relocation and rigging experience. Electrical distribution experience, including motors, starters, breakers, and related equipment. Welding and fabrication skills. Experience with maintenance management or work-order software. Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring maintenance technicians and apprentices.
