Job Description
Facility Projects Technician We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Facility Projects Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building, repairing, installing, improving, and solving problems rather than doing the same thing every day. You'll work on a variety of facility improvement and maintenance projects, including equipment installations and relocations, building modifications, repairs, and special projects throughout our facility. What You'll Do Assist with facility renovations, upgrades, and improvement projects Install and relocate equipment, workstations, shelving, and facility systems Perform building modifications and general construction-related tasks Assist with plumbing, carpentry, painting, lighting, and minor electrical repairs Perform general facility maintenance and repair work Support preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment Read and work from basic drawings, layouts, project plans, and work instructions Assist with material handling, staging, and project preparation Coordinate work with maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors Help monitor project progress and keep management informed Inspect facility areas and identify repair needs, safety concerns, and potential problems Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, safety-focused, and able to figure things out . Experience in facility maintenance, construction, industrial maintenance, building trades, or project work is preferred. You should be comfortable using hand and power tools, working independently, managing multiple tasks, and working with others to get projects completed safely and efficiently. Skills That Are a Plus Welding or fabrication experience is highly desirable , along with forklift or aerial lift experience, mechanical troubleshooting ability, and previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on position. You must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed . Work may be performed indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and changing temperatures. Safety Safety is a key responsibility of this position. You will be expected to follow company safety policies, applicable OSHA requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures while ensuring projects and maintenance activities are completed safely and professionally.
