Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Technician with electrical specialty Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing environment as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will keep our production lines running smoothly and efficiently. This vital role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex machinery, and ensuring all equipment operates at peak performance. You will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, reliable, and productive facility by applying your technical skills and proactive maintenance strategies. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and electrical blueprints. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components to minimize downtime. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Perform equipment repairs including welding, electrical diagnostics, low voltage repairs, and the use of tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Read electrical schematics and engineering troubleshooting manuals to identify faults accurately. Operate industrial machinery such as scissor lifts safely while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting pneumatic systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize equipment performance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures related to HVAC/R systems, and electrical maintenance. Experience Proven experience working within manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and electrical systems. Experience with 110-480 Volt single and 3 phase. Experience with 0-24 volt DC. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance across various machinery types. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance planning. Technical knowledge of HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics reading, and electrical blueprint interpretation. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools for electrical diagnostics. Skilled in welding ( welding or equivalent), low voltage electrical repair, and industrial electrician practices. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems troubleshooting, hydraulic systems operation, and pneumatic system troubleshooting is highly desirable.
