Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Job Description-Maintenance Technician In the Maintenance Technician position, you will be responsible to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery. Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery. Advanced skills required in all the following area-HVAC, electric, welding, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry and piping systems. Brown Foodservice a major food distributor located in Louisa, KY. You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of facility and machinery Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery Maintain standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analysis Complete daily maintenance and repair logs Communicate with operators from other shifts Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, respond to emergency call for repairs, and operate machinery with an emphasis on servicing, repairing, and maintaining equipment. Planning responsibilities include developing and scheduling activities and assisting in preparing work schedules Performing essentially the same work as directed and includes overseeing work quality. Work with your Supervisor to comply with various state and federal agencies may also be required. Vendors and suppliers may also be called upon for information on purchases, supplies or products Maintain and secure work tools Have advanced skills required in one or more of the following areas-HVAC, electric, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and piping systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic reading, writing and math skills required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers Ability to lift 60-80 pounds Work from ladders and elevated equipment
Working Conditions:
Normal for a distribution environment: outside-ambient temp, inside-dry cooler-34 degrees and inside-frozen- -20 degrees Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: Eye safety glasses, Hearing Protection, work boots and safety harness Brown Foodservice, Inc.
