Job Description
This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibility one week a month. Drug screen, background check and physical are required if offer of employment is made.
Responsibilities:
Maintains and adheres to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment. Maintain and organize shop areas to include tools and parts. Assist in monitoring the organization, use, and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Perform preventive maintenance and review the operation of plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. Clean and maintain work area. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment as required. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and Repair Orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the Lead Maintenance person and/or the Operations Supervisor. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and be on call when scheduled. Meet the daily housekeeping requirements. While performing duties of this position, employee is frequently required to speak and hear. Mobility throughout facility and surrounding grounds with exposure to heat, cold, sun, etc. Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to push a maximum force of 110 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to pull a maximum force of 110 lbs. occasionally.Positional Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping and operating controls will be required. Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, crouching and fingering will be required.Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Experience in manufacturing maintenance with strong background in mechanical systems Basic electrical experience is required. Skill in examining, evaluating, and proposing re-engineering of equipment and operations Ability to communicate and interact with suppliers and all levels of employees effectively. These requirements may be acquired through a combination of work experience and technical school. A minimum of 2+ years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required High school diploma or GED required Fabrication experience is preferred Heat induction experience is desiredPay:
