Job Summary Responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and performing preventative maintenance on Datacom, telecom, controls, alarm systems, generators, motors, and lighting systems. Repairs communication and electrical systems to ensure operational reliability. Coordinates distribution of communication services throughout the organization. Ensures compliance with safety and technical standards. Supports organizational functionality through timely response to maintenance and repair needs. Essential Functions

  • Installs data cabling and wiring for low voltage, telephone, communication, alarm, monitoring, and computer systems.
  • Completes work orders and verbal instructions from Facilities Management and Information Technology departments.
  • Returns completed work orders to Facilities Management for posting.
  • Updates all communications work on "as built" drawings.
  • Collaborates with other trades to achieve organizational goals.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Rotates assignments as directed by Facilities Management and Network Operations leadership.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Adheres to safety and physical requirements, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement High school diploma or equivalent experience Experience Requirement 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
