Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Elevator Technician specializing in Stair Lift and Platform Lift installation and maintenance on a contract basis. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of specialized vertical mobility systems. As a key member of our field service team, you will deliver expert installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services that enhance accessibility and safety for our clients. Your technical expertise and customer-focused approach will drive success in this fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and building codes. This is initially a contract position. You will be contracted for specific jobs where installation is needed. Eventually this will grow into a full time role where you lead the lift install and service but also branch out into other equipment service. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain stair lifts, platform lifts, and other vertical mobility systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, engineering troubleshooting guides, and building code requirements to accurately diagnose issues. Utilize hand tools, electrical testing equipment, hydraulic tools, and mechanical systems repair tools to perform precise repairs and adjustments. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of lift systems while adhering to safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating technical information, explaining repairs or installations to clients, and ensuring their satisfaction with the service provided. Document all work performed accurately in service reports, including detailed descriptions of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations related to elevator systems. Requirements Valid license as an Elevator Technician with certification specific to stair lift and platform lift installation (or equivalent recognized credentials).

If not already licensed do not apply. Proven experience in elevator troubleshooting, mechanical systems repair, electrical work, hydraulic systems, and industrial maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical schematic reading and interpretation, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with electrical systems including electrical schematic reading, electrical troubleshooting techniques, and engineering troubleshooting processes. Knowledge of building code compliance related to elevator installation and maintenance. Experience working in field service environments with a focus on industrial mechanics or elevator systems is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction during every interaction. Ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining high safety standards. Pay:
