About the Role As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and operational readiness of our heavy-duty vehicle fleet. You will perform essential diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks, helping to minimize downtime and keep our equipment performing at its peak. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and safety inspections in strict accordance with FMCSA standards. Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues on trucks and trailers with minimal oversight. Document all service activities accurately within our work order system to ensure precise parts allocation and maintenance history. Perform minor body repairs and component installations to maintain fleet appearance and functionality. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective, long-term solutions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment to support efficient daily operations. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in tractor/trailer maintenance or fleet repair. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and heavy equipment systems. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple repair tasks under pressure. Solid computer skills for documentation and diagnostic software usage. Preferred Skills Formal vocational training or a degree in Diesel Mechanics. Active preparation for or possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Demonstrated ability to mentor junior technicians and share technical knowledge.
