Job Description
Position Summary Support the manufacturing areas with plant focus on minimizing down time, increasing productivity and maintain the overall system as well as company policies/procedures. Responsibilities Change Oven belts (as needed) Sharpen and build knives as needed Build/Re-build clutches Adjust Oven belts Perform any mechanical work needed on machines Building/Fabricating of equipment, carts, etc. Welding, plasma cutting, grinding, etc. as needed Hook up/Un hook furnaces Building/ Setup of furnaces Maintain Cooling Loop System Assist Belt Tech with carriage changes (as needed) Preventative Maintenance as required Closeout PM" and Work Order in Keep Track Cleanup furnace frames taken out of services Complete requisition for supplies needed Put away incoming maintenance material (motors, belts, supplies, etc.) General housekeeping of work area Job Skill Requirements High School Diploma/GED. Technical college or college training/degree manufacturing maintenance preferred. One or more years of basic maintenance experience Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), problem solving, read standards gauges (i.e. scales, tape rule) Welding Electrical repair Plumping Machinery repair Physical Requirements, exerting up to 60 pounds. Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach and move across uneven surfaces. Ability to stand most of the shift. Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively. Self-starter with strong work ethic Good problem solving and analytical skills Flexibility in a changing environment Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and other employees at all levels of the organization. Willingness to operate production machinery as needed. Ability to work overtime as required to meet production demands
