The Role We're hiring an Ancillary Inspection Technician to perform sewer scope, indoor air quality (IAQ), and pool/spa inspections throughout the Greater Baton Rouge market. You'll work alongside our home inspectors on the same jobs, following a disciplined process and documenting what you find so clients have a clear picture of the property. No inspection license or experience required. We will train you. If you have a plumbing or pool background, you'll pick this up fast. What You'll Do Run sewer scope inspections: access clean-outs, run the camera through the main line, and record the footage and findings (root intrusion, bellies, cracks, offsets, blockages). Perform indoor air quality and mold sampling following HDMK's procedures, and handle samples properly for lab submission. Inspect pools and spas, including equipment, pumps, filters, heaters, electrical bonding and safety features, surfaces, and barriers. Take clear photos and video and document findings accurately in our reporting software. Communicate professionally with clients, agents, and our inspectors on site. Keep your equipment clean, maintained, and ready for every job. Follow HDMK's process and documentation standards on every inspection, no shortcuts. What We're Looking For (Non-Negotiables) Mechanically inclined, with a willingness to learn and follow a process exactly. Reliable and on time. Our schedule depends on it. Professional, friendly communication with clients and agents.

Comfort with tech:

smartphones, tablets, photos/video, and report software. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, and work outdoors in Louisiana heat and humidity. Preferred (Nice to Have) Plumbing experience (residential drain, sewer, or service work is a big plus). Pool/spa service, repair, or construction experience. Background in construction, trades, HVAC, or remodeling. Existing certifications in sewer scope, pool/spa, or IAQ/mold inspection.
