A fast growing and family owned Custom Sign Company specializing in sign service and LED signs has an opening for a highly motivated sign installer. This position requires a capable individual to perform physically demanding work, under pressure, in a team environment, installing signs and displays in every type of application (dirt excavation, concrete / masonry, drywall, brick, plaster, steel / aluminum welding, electrical, etc.). Applicant should demonstrate skills working with metal/wood/plastics, both exterior and interior, ability to work on ladders, lifts or scaffolding. Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 75lbs, able to sit and / or stand for long periods of time. Early morning starts and some travel, being on time and dependable is critical.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires general construction experience-Familiarity with fabrication, welding, electrical, general shop machinery, tools and equipment use, crane/bucket truck use, earth moving, etc
  • Skilled in organizing and planning to meet project needs and schedules
  • Good math skills, and the ability to read and follow plans and instructions
  • Strong written and verbal skills required in English
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Understand and comply with all safety rules
  • Valid Driver's License and a DMV report free from violations
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Compensation:
Per hour based on experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install all types of interior and exterior signs including Channel Letters, Monument Signs, Post Signs, Banners, HDU Signs, Dimensional Letters and ADA Signs. Mask, weed and apply vinyl. Maintain clean & stocked company vehicles. Maintain machinery in good working condition. Travel to customer locations to preview work areas, do site surveys and install various types of signs. Operate heavy machinery including crane, bucket truck, skid steer, etc. Dealing with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
