Job Description

HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support industrial cleaning and utilities operations for energy and petrochemical clients. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping, and related mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable operation of field and plant equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, complete work orders, and document findings while following strict safety and environmental procedures. Working in a safety-first, team-based environment, you will respond to breakdowns, support shutdowns and turnarounds, and help optimize equipment performance and uptime. Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, valves, and piping Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant and field equipment Respond to equipment failures and support shutdowns and turnarounds Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications Use hand and power tools, test equipment, and rigging safely and correctly Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and on time Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures Collaborate with operations and safety teams to minimize downtime and hazards Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in field and plant settings Required Skills Industrial mechanical troubleshooting Pump and motor maintenance Valve and piping repair Preventive and predictive maintenance Reading mechanical drawings and schematics Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures Use of hand and power tools Rigging and lifting practices CMMS/work order systems Welding and fabrication (basic)
