This position focuses heavily on painting, drywall repair, unit preparation, and general apartment turnover tasks to ensure homes are move-in ready and meet company standards. When make-ready work is limited, this position will assist the maintenance team with general service requests, preventive maintenance, groundskeeping, and other community maintenance needs. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMake Ready / Unit Turn Responsibilities Complete apartment make-ready tasks in preparation for new move-ins Perform interior painting, touch-ups, and wall repairs Repair drywall damage including patching, sanding, and texture matching Assist with flooring removal and installation preparation Replace light bulbs, blinds, fixtures, smoke detectors, and hardware as needed Perform cleaning and detailed finishing work to company standards Conduct final quality inspections to ensure units are move-in ready Maintain organized make-ready inventory and supplies Communicate unit status updates with the maintenance supervisor and office team General Maintenance Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance service requests/work orders Troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs Help maintain community grounds and common areas Assist with preventive maintenance projects Support emergency maintenance needs when required Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications Experience in apartment maintenance, construction, painting, drywall, or related field preferred Strong painting and drywall repair skills required Basic knowledge of general maintenance repairs Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and work in various weather conditions Ability to complete physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
