Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Repair or replace faulty components including motors, drives, sensors, switches, wiring, and circuit boards to restore equipment functionality efficiently. Operate and maintain specialized tools such as welding equipment to execute repairs safely and accurately. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to electrical maintenance (including low voltage and high voltage work), welding procedures, and industrial mechanic practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data and recommending upgrades or modifications for enhanced reliability. Qualifications Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment or similar setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving welding. Strong mechanical aptitude complemented by experience in industrial electrician work or industrial mechanic roles.
