A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Maintenance Repairer 1 - 2 - Job Appointment The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs. Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a skilled, dependable Maintenance Repairer 1-2 to perform upkeep and repairs to facility. One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses. Job Duties:
Plumbing:
Repair and install commodes, lavatories, water fountains, garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains, repair leaks, repair/replace faucets.
Electrical:
Replace Light bulbs. Repair/replace ballasts, receptacles, switches, and fans. Replace motors, pumps, etc.
Appliance Repair:
Repair washing machines, dryers, ice machines and refrigerators.
Carpentry:
Repair doors, door closers, hinges, cabinet doors, knobs, baseboards, cabinets, furniture, door stops, windows, etc.
Refrigeration:
Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance to A/C units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers and motors, chill water valves, controls, belts and filters. Keep check on hot water temperatures and maintain log. Run and service generators and maintain log. Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and maintains a log.
