Maintenance Technician Sulphur, LA, United States | req32572 What you will enjoy doing• You will plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems and equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers And you will support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and other related process equipment Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work and identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset concerns Further, you will conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and support the root cause analysis program for major failures Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities in EAM and uphold the Oil & Vibrations Predictive Program Will work independently, making technical decisions and escalating technical concerns as needed Also, perform office work and field work, requiring accessibility during off-hours and the ability to access elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets What makes you great Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the maintenance of mechanical and rotating systems and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment You have proven experience in installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs of compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for industrial mechanical and rotating systems and equipment Ability to use precision measuring devices and perform precision alignment on multi-train equipment Moreover you have excellent communication and team interaction skills, with the ability to work independently and lead or participate in teams Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, experience with computers and standard software packages, and proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system You are proficient in understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes, completion of a machinist/millwright apprenticeship program is a plus Hands-on experience in vibration analysis and dynamic balancing, familiarity with
EAM CMMS
