Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a maintenance role focused on painting and surface finishing within a hotel environment. This position plays an important part in maintaining a clean, polished, and welcoming appearance throughout the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and contributes to a positive guest experience through excellent upkeep of the facility. Responsibilities Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including cleaning, patching, sanding, and priming as needed. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and fixtures. Perform touch-ups and repainting to maintain a consistent, high-quality appearance throughout guest rooms and public areas. Protect furniture, flooring, and surrounding surfaces during painting projects. Assist with basic maintenance tasks related to surface repair and finishing. Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, neat edges, and professional results. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently. Respond to painting and cosmetic repair requests in a timely manner. Qualifications Previous experience in painting, maintenance, facilities, or a related trade is preferred. Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and surface preparation methods. Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and common painting equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others. Good time management and organizational skills. Ability to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment as needed. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends or holidays when necessary. Preferred Skills Experience working in hospitality, property maintenance, or commercial facilities. Familiarity with drywall patching, minor surface repairs, and caulking. Knowledge of color matching and finish selection. Ability to perform light maintenance tasks beyond painting when needed.
