Job Description
This hands-on role supports facility operations, equipment installations, capital projects, and preventative maintenance while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Support CapEx projects, including equipment installations, relocations, and facility upgrades. Prepare work areas by verifying utilities, reviewing safety requirements, and assisting with equipment shutdowns and startups. Verify equipment installation, alignment, anchoring, utility connections, and operational readiness. Coordinate on-site contractor activities, scheduling, and equipment testing. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and fall protection. Maintain project schedules, status updates, and project documentation. Assist with vendor quotes, purchase requisitions, and budget tracking. Serve as a liaison between Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities, EH&S, Operations, and contractors. Perform general facility maintenance, including basic repairs, carpentry, painting, furniture relocation, equipment moves, and preventative maintenance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic, millwright, or facilities technician. Experience with equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Working knowledge of LOTO procedures and equipment testing. Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and facility drawings. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds. #
