Window & Door Service TechnicianSouth Shore Massachusetts, Rhode Island & Northeast Connecticut Full-Time | Pay Range $29.00 - $29.50/hour + Overtime Position Summary Mathews Brothers Company is seeking an experienced Window & Door Service Technician to serve customers throughout South Shore Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Northeast Connecticut , including the Greater Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, Brockton, Quincy, Plymouth, Taunton, New Bedford, Fall River, Norwich, Putnam, and Danielson markets. In this field-based role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and service residential and commercial windows, doors, and related building products. We are looking for a hands-on technician who can independently diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide outstanding customer service while representing one of New England's most respected window manufacturers. This role is ideal for experienced Window Service Technicians, Warranty Technicians, Window Installers, Door Installers, and Field Service Technicians with experience in the window and door industry. What You'll Do Perform service calls at residential and commercial customer locations. Diagnose and repair operational, installation, warranty, and product performance issues. Repair and replace hardware, weatherstripping, screens, glass, balances, locks, and other window and door components. Conduct product inspections and warranty evaluations. Document findings, repairs, and customer interactions accurately. Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, architects, and dealers. Provide product education and technical support to customers. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience servicing, installing, repairing, or troubleshooting windows and doors, preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory. Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Window Service Technician, Warranty Technician, Window Installer, Door Installer, or Field Service Technician. Experience working for a window manufacturer, dealer, distributor, or installation company. Familiarity with products from Andersen, Marvin, Harvey, Paradigm, Pella, JELD-WEN, MI Windows, Windsor, Mathews Brothers, or similar manufacturers. Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices. Understanding of window installation methods, flashing systems, water management, and building envelope performance. Ability to read technical specifications and installation instructions. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has direct experience servicing and repairing windows and doors in the field and is comfortable working independently while interacting with homeowners, contractors, and dealers. Pay:
