Job Description

Full benefit package Competitive 401K Paid time off Position overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production and facility equipment in a paint manufacturing environment. This role supports both small-batch production (R&D custom blends, specialty coatings) and large-scale manufacturing (standard traffic paint, high volume runs), requiring flexibility, strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to work across a wide range of equipment types and production systems.What you will be doing:
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on: High-speed dispensers and mixers, Piping, pumps, valves and transfer systems. Filling, packaging, and drum/tote handling systems. Compressors, HVAC and plant utilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues Replace and rebuild components such as: air-operated diaphragm pumps, belts, pneumatic cylinders, seals, bearings, motors, and gearboxes. Small -Batch/ Flexible Production Support:
Support frequent product changeovers, cleanouts, and reconfigurations. Assist in rapid troubleshooting during short production runs and R & D trials Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records. Maintain high-throughput production systems with minimal downtime and support continuous or long-run batching and filling operations Execute and improve facility wide preventative maintenance programs. Respond quickly to downtime in both fast-changing and steady-state environments Perform root cause analysis on recurrent equipment issues. Recommend improvements to increase uptime, efficiency, and safety Assist in equipment upgrades, installations, and plant expansion projects Maintain plant infrastructure including: Electrical systems and motor controls, Compressed air systems, Environmental and waste handling systems, and Support general building maintenance as neededAdditional Responsibilities:
Follow all OSHA and plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), Confined space, Working from heights and Hot Work Ensure safe handling of paints, resins, solvents, and additives Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulationsMinimum Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED - Technical training or associate degree preferred Work experience: 3 plus years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (paint, chemical, coatings, or similar preferred). Experience with pumps, mixers, pipe fitting and rotating equipment. Some welding/fabrication experience preferred.Skills and Knowledge:
General knowledge of plumbing and pipe fitting techniques. Working knowledge of electrical systems and motor controls. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems .Benefits
