Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman/Hospitality Associate to join our dynamic team. on TUESDAY and
WEDNESDAY
9am-6pm, plus other optional hours and to cover PTO of FT Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities while providing exceptional service to our guests and staff. Your expertise in a wide range of maintenance tasks combined with strong customer service skills will ensure our environment remains welcoming, efficient, and well-maintained. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a lively, fast-paced setting where your contributions truly make a difference. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment using hand tools and schematics. Conduct electrical work such as troubleshooting electrical equipment, repairing wiring, and maintaining electrical systems with tools like ohmmeters. Handle carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and painting to uphold building interior aesthetics. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other mechanical components to ensure optimal operation. Utilize welding skills for metal repairs or fabrication as needed; perform maintenance painting to preserve surfaces. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities; use electrical equipment repair techniques and tools responsibly. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff requests promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude. Read and interpret schematics for various building systems; perform troubleshooting based on technical diagrams. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing tools, and ensuring work areas are safe and compliant with regulations. Lead small maintenance projects or tasks independently while collaborating effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC system repair, carpentry, and building interior maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, welding, and plumbing system maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and the use of ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Ability to perform residential painting and facilities equipment maintenance efficiently. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical staff or guests. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Knowledge of facility safety protocols and experience working with HVAC systems including repairs or system upgrades. Physical ability to stand, walk extensively, lift heavy objects safely, and perform manual tasks required for building maintenance. Ability to carry up to 50lbs. $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 30.0 per week
