Kettle Cuisine Maintenance Mechanic Lynn, MA Apply
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all production machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels. Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fluid handling systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints and diagrams and ladder logic programs. ? Proficient in using hand, power, shop and diagnostic tools. ? Ability to coordinate multiple job effectively, and to handle detailed and broad range projects. ? Ability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented. ? Ability to work with minimal supervision and to work flexible hours. ? Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, comprehension) and follow complicated verbal and/or written instructions. ? Install and modify production equipment and machinery. ? Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes. ? Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance and purchases. ? Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop. ? Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies. ? Additional duties as required.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
? Works under general supervision. Makes decisions within clearly prescribed areas referring matters that fall outside that area to others. ? Recommends actions and alternatives to supervisors and others. ? Position has little to no contact with customers. ? Position has little to no impact on revenue, actions and results are subject to review or inspection. ? Decisions or actions have little a limited impact on the business ? typically within a department. Errors are usually detected through routine verification/review, but may result in some work flow disruption or repetition of work.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Position is not responsible for supervising or influencing the actions of others.
SKILL REQUIRED
? High school diploma or GED required. ? Requires one - three years of experience; minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and process equipment line maintenance of machinery in food or beverage manufacturing facility.

August 2019 2 ? On-the-job training of 6 - 12 months. ? PC literate, email and calendar outlook use; must be proficient with MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Outlook.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Maintenance Mechanic encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands/Efforts ? Work requires frequent physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Mental & Visual Demands ? Work performed by this position requires a high degree of mental concentration required to prioritize and effectively execute extremely complex tasks. ? Work requires continuous visual effort for extended periods of time. Work Environment and Hazards ? Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard. ? This position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury. ? Travel is not required.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
? Trade school training preferred ? Skilled in electrical power/controls, mechanical and fluid handling systems. ? Knowledge of production line packaging and filling equipment. ? Ability to lift and move items weigning up to 75 pounds. ? Ability to stoop, bend and stand on a frequent basis. ? Physical ability to climb ladders, stairs, crawl through manholes, work on roofs, in tanks. ? Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward ?
