Hourly Job Summary:
(Short statement of the job's purpose) The primary purpose of this position is to perform a wide range of functions such as installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This position will handle complex technical work including electrical, controls and other advanced manufacturing technologies. Daily work will include preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks. This includes working from schematics, drawings, layouts or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in equipment as well as assist in the installation of Production and Development equipment and machinery. Open position is for a first shift role. Flexibility in work hours may be required to support preventive maintenance, production overtime, and other business needs. Essential Functions
•: (Listing of specific duties in each area - in order of importance) Leads both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, and repair of production equipment with minimal supervision Performs troubleshooting and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, and controls. Modifies existing equipment or processes to improve operation. Works in cooperation with manufacturing engineers and may participate in other production and assembly duties to ensure manufacturing floor flow Assist manufacturing engineers in the qualification, debugging, and repair of equipment Source and purchase components and parts for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks Machine and/or modify mechanical components and fixturing for production use Acts as a liaison and point of contact for service contractors and vendors Ensures appropriate functionality, and operation of semi-automated systems Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues May train peers on technical repairs, maintenance, and set-up of production equipment Documents tasks, PM results and/or corrective actions in CMMS Other duties as assigned. Preferred Skills Familiar with industrial equipment controls and capable of diagnosing and repairing PLC‑related issues Education / Training / Skills /
Experience:
High School/Vocational Tech Degree Required Associate's Degree in related engineering or technical field preferred Analytical Trouble Shooting Ability to read technical drawings/prints Technical writing skills Strong mechanical/technical aptitude Computer skills as required by stated functions High level of initiative and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25lbs Ability to work on the ground or underneath equipment
