Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to address issues with building interior elements and facilities infrastructure. Maintain HVAC systems by troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components such as filters, thermostats, and ductwork to ensure climate control efficiency. Repair electrical equipment including wiring, outlets, switches, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support building operations. Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper water flow. Perform painting tasks including maintenance painting of interior walls and residential painting projects to uphold campus aesthetics. Use electrical testing tools like ohmmeters to diagnose faults in electrical circuits and equipment accurately. Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues effectively while adhering to safety standards. Lead small maintenance projects or assist in larger repairs with a focus on customer service by communicating clearly with staff and stakeholders about work progress. Requirements Proven experience with facilities maintenance including electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, carpentry, welding, and mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical equipment repair, HVAC systems repair, and building interior maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively. Strong understanding of maintenance procedures related to facilities equipment maintenance (MRO) practices. Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals for troubleshooting complex systems accurately. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer service interactions. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work, plumbing repair, HVAC systems, welding processes, and general building maintenance.
