Tooling and Maintenance Tech Wilmington, MA Apply Tooling & Maintenance Technician NT Medical is a growing medical device contract manufacturer specializing in precision injection molding, assembly, and manufacturing services for the medical device industry. We are seeking a hands-on Tooling & Maintenance Technician to support mold maintenance, equipment reliability, and facility operations. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical systems, maintaining injection molds and equipment, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Summary The Tooling & Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of injection molds, manufacturing equipment, auxiliary systems, and facility infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure reliable operation of production equipment while supporting a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Tooling Maintenance ? Perform preventive maintenance on injection molds. ? Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble tooling. ? Identify wear, damage, and repair needs. ? Coordinate mold repairs with outside toolmakers when necessary. ? Maintain tooling maintenance records and spare component inventory. ? Assist with mold changeovers and troubleshooting activities. Equipment Maintenance ? Perform routine maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. ? Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and support repairs. ? Maintain dryers, chillers, temperature controllers, conveyors, and related production equipment. ? Assist with equipment installation and upgrades. ? Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance records. Facility Maintenance ? Perform general building and facility maintenance. ? Support maintenance of HVAC, compressed air systems, cooling water systems, and plant utilities. ? Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service providers. ? Maintain safe and organized production and maintenance areas. Continuous Improvement ? Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and uptime. ? Assist in implementing maintenance and process improvements. ? Support efforts to reduce downtime and improve manufacturing efficiency. Safety & Compliance ? Follow all company safety policies and procedures. ? Use required personal protective equipment (PPE). ? Maintain compliance with company quality and maintenance procedures. ? Report unsafe conditions and equipment concerns. Qualifications Required ? High School Diploma or GED. ? Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools. ? Ability to read maintenance instructions and equipment manuals. ? Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. ? Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred ? 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience. ? Injection molding experience. ? Mold maintenance experience. ? Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems. ?
