Position SummaryThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production equipment and facility systems. This role performs troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding, fabrication, and continuous improvement activities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.

The Maintenance Mechanic will respond to equipment breakdowns, perform scheduled maintenance, support production uptime, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality and OSHA requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Corrective MaintenancePerform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.

Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment breakdowns during production.

Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.

Perform equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they impact production.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Mechanical Troubleshooting & RepairTroubleshoot and repair heavy industrial processing and manufacturing equipment.

Work with VFDs, motor controllers, and industrial control systems.

Diagnose leaks, pressure issues, valve failures, cylinder problems, and related equipment failures.

Maintain pumps, compressors, blowers, and other fluid/air-powered systems.

Manufacturing EquipmentSupport maintenance activities involving:

CNC machining equipmentMetal forming equipmentHeat-treating equipmentLight automationMaterial handling equipmentCranes and forkliftsAssist with equipment improvements and modifications to improve reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.

SOPs, PMs & DocumentationWork with the Maintenance Manager to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Procedures (PMPs) and supporting documentation.

Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities.

Follow established work plans, specifications, and maintenance procedures.

Safety, Quality & CompliancePerform all work in accordance with OSHA and company safety requirements.

Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.

Trade school, technical certificate, or equivalent vocational training preferred.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery independently.

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
