Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics and manufacturing equipment, including PLC controllers, ovens, and conveyors, among others. The role involves installing, inspecting, and improving the efficiency of equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and operational efficiency requirements. Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance on equipment, including felt lines, molding equipment, presses, robotics (ABB Robots), and water jets. Troubleshoot 480V electrical systems and understand electrical panels/cabinets. Maintain hydraulics and pneumatics systems, especially presses. Set up and install new equipment for facility upgrades. Troubleshoot and maintain motors, sensors, photo eyes, and switches. Maintain and troubleshoot junction boxes and terminal switches. Diagnose, repair, and replace wires as needed. Perform facilities maintenance, including lighting. Document maintenance activities in CMMS systems (ShireSystem). Essential Skills 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to troubleshoot 480V electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints. Ownership of a tool box and tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Siemens PLC troubleshooting experience. Welding/Fabrication experience. Ability to use manual mill and/or lathe. Why Work Here? The company is located in a 300,000 sq ft facility with approximately 350 employees, manufacturing carpet, interiors, and wheel well products for the automotive industry. The company uses natural and synthetic fibers, focusing on recycled materials and eco-friendly practices. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Norwalk, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.- paid time off
