Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description This role involves mechanical maintenance with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on various machines. You will work with equipment such as bearing machines, wire cutting machines, shape enders, centerless grinders, and motors. A significant part of your job will include rebuilding gearboxes and working on hydraulic pumps and motors. The role is primarily mechanical, with minimal electrical work required. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on machines. Work with equipment including bearing machines, wire cutting machines, and centerless grinders. Rebuild gearboxes as a major task. Read and understand manuals to replace parts or bearings on machines. Perform maintenance on hydraulic pumps and various types of motors. Conduct preventive maintenance (75%), reactive maintenance (15%), and project-based tasks (10%). Essential Skills 3 years of mechanical repair experience, specifically on pumps or pneumatic components. Proficiency in maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic, and industrial maintenance tasks. Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge. Mechanical ability and basic electrical understanding. Ability to read blueprints and manuals. Experience in greasing bearings and changing out motors. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ownership of basic hand tools and a toolbox. Electrical experience is a plus. Wastewater experience is advantageous. Why Work Here? Initial training will be on day shifts for 1-3 months. Once you transition to the off-shift, you will receive a $1/hr shift premium. Enjoy annual reviews and pay raises. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bremen, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.00/hr.
