Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician will support a modern, robotics-focused manufacturing facility by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing preventive maintenance tasks. This role involves working with industrial machinery, including robots, water jets, and automated molds, while adapting to new technologies and equipment. The technician will collaborate closely with the maintenance team, use maintenance management software, and help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production equipment. Responsibilities Replace mechanical and electrical parts throughout the facility, including components such as coils on robots and water jet heads. Work with pneumatic cylinders, bolts, clamps, and related mechanical assemblies to maintain and repair equipment. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns as they occur, including issues with automated molds and water jets, and restore equipment to proper operation. Learn to operate and maintain a KMT StreamlineSL-V 50 R
Plus and apply that knowledge to troubleshooting and repairs. Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Perform welding when needed to support equipment repair and fabrication tasks. Work safely with 480V electrical systems while following established safety procedures and guidelines. Use Fiix maintenance software on computers and tablets to receive work orders, document repairs, and track maintenance activities. Shadow experienced team members and actively learn new equipment, tools, and processes, especially for new and robotic systems. Communicate clearly with the maintenance manager, team members, and production staff about equipment status, issues, and repair timelines. Adapt to working with new robotic equipment and technologies as they are introduced into the facility. Support a clean, organized, and well-maintained maintenance shop and work areas. Be willing to work overtime as needed to support production demands and respond to urgent maintenance needs. Train on first shift for approximately 30 days to learn equipment, processes, and facility standards before transitioning to the regular schedule. Essential Skills At least one year of industrial maintenance experience. Hands-on experience working with 480V electrical systems in an industrial environment. Mechanical maintenance skills, including repair and replacement of industrial components. Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Ability and willingness to work overtime when required. Ability to train on first shift for approximately 30 days. Comfort using computers and tablets to work with Fiix maintenance software or similar systems. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with supervisors, team members, and other departments. Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and electrical equipment. Willingness to shadow experienced technicians and continuously learn new equipment and technologies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with industrial robots. Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with repair of automated equipment such as water jets and auto molds. Exposure to or experience with KMT StreamlineSL-V 50 R
Plus or similar high-pressure systems. Welding experience in an industrial maintenance setting. Ability to adapt quickly to new robotic and automated equipment. The role may involve overtime based on production needs, and initial training takes place on first shift for approximately 30 days. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.90 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
