Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and machine setup on production and facility equipment. Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete emergency repairs to reduce downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Install, adjust, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery. Set up, start up, and maintain injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Support automation systems, robotics, and process equipment. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety requirements. Complete maintenance records and work orders using CMMS software. Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Required Qualifications 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or equivalent trade school training. Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read schematics, instructions, and technical documentation. Working knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures. Experience with industrial equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Work Environment Manufacturing facility with multiple shift opportunities (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift). Work involves maintaining industrial machinery, automation systems, and injection molding equipment in a fast-paced production environment while following established safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Ames, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
