Duties Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other building equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks to resolve issues promptly and efficiently. Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs; execute necessary repairs or escalate as required. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to diagnose problems accurately. Lead small maintenance projects or assist construction teams during upgrades or renovations while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance and accountability. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, equipment repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and air conditioning. Proven service technician experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for accurate diagnostics. Knowledge of HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration principles. Construction experience is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or renovations. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or lead small teams during maintenance tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
