Job Description
Shift:
Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Location:
College Park MD The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance repairs, performing preventative maintenance throughout the property, curb appeal projects and responsible for the turnover of units. The right candidate must provide quality customer care and services to existing and prospective residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for maintenance of vacant apartment units and preparing for rent ready condition.
Diagnosing and making repairs:
appliance installation/repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring (carpet/tile), interior/exterior lighting, dry wall, equipment, roofing (when needed), structural, concrete and asphalt. Responsible for completing work orders. Provides assistance in capital improvement projects. Complete preventive maintenance projects as directed by Manager. Adhere to maintenance schedule for maintenance coverage at the property. Answer emergency calls and provide "on call" support when necessary. Purchase and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, materials and equipment, staying within budget guidelines. Make sure inventory is tracked and secured at all times. Inspect property grounds and property equipment daily for safety and cleanliness.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent 2 Years of Apartment Maintenance Experience Must Pass Background Screening and drug screening Must have a Valid Driver's License and your own Vehicle to travel between two sites (less than 1 mile apart). Ideal candidates will have experience with the following: appliance installation/repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring (carpet/tile), interior/exterior lighting, dry wall, equipment, roofing (when needed), structural, concrete and asphalt.
