Commercial Maintenance Technician

- 5:00 PM (some nights and weekends) About the Role We're hiring a Commercial Maintenance Technician to deliver effective, efficient and timely maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned territory.
A company vehicle and tools are provided , and you'll travel to a variety of customer sites to maintain commercial properties. You'll perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and general service of buildings, equipment and grounds, working face-to-face with customers and using multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing and HVAC to solve maintenance problems. What You'll Do Complete preventive maintenance and repairs per work order requirements, following company procedures, regulations and safety standards Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems: repair and unclog toilets and urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies, toilet and faucet fixtures, and repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits Perform routine painting, carpentry and general maintenance to keep facilities in like-new condition (for example, repairing drywall holes, prepping and matching paint for a uniform finish) Repair and maintain walls, floors and doors, including painting and touch-up work Perform minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license under state law (for example, repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches and outlets, and replacing light bulbs, ballasts and sockets) Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed Use a tablet or smartphone to access and complete work orders with service notes, create and submit service reports and quality inspection photos, submit timesheets, expense reports and purchase card logs, and obtain materials and supplies Create a positive climate with the client and drive customer satisfaction, with timely and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed by onsite customers Complete other duties as assigned What You Need 2-5 years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry , or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience in one or more building trades Valid driver's license in good standing, plus any applicable certifications and licenses Able to read and understand safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Able to write routine reports and correspondence and present information to individuals and small groups Complete work orders on time and communicate work order status through the designated process Comfortable with handheld devices and business software, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Follow all applicable codes, regulations and company directives for building operations and work safety Able to perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance and preventive maintenance Available for some nights and weekends Preferred High school diploma, degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, the trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) or specialty floor care Background in commercial services Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off (PTO)
