Columbus Property Management, a member of Mission First Housing Group is seeking Maintenance Team members. The Porter is responsible for maintaining properties in safe, attractive and comfortable condition for all residents. Benefits Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision) 403B Retirement Plans Life Insurance (Company Provided and Voluntary) Health Savings Account (HSA) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Commuter Accounts (Transit and Parking) Tuition Reimbursement Paid Time Off Porter Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean exercise and laundry rooms, garages, courtyards, bathrooms, mailroom, offices and all common areas as assigned. Clean all laundry appliances including removing lint from dryers. Vacuum and shampoo all carpets. Sweep, mop and polish tiles and hardwood floors. Clean and polish cabinets, doors, wood trim, stair railings etc. Dust and clean light fixtures, fire extinguishers, common areas, etc. Pick up trash on property and empty receptacles as needed. Clean all parking areas, sidewalks, alleyways, and building grounds. Keep sidewalks and steps free of ice and snow and tripping hazards at all times. Ensure resident and/or company possessions are protected with tarps when conducting work. Follow company safety and emergency procedures at all times. Responsible for wearing assigned uniform and returning uniform to designated pick up area for cleaning. Understand, promote and project the corporate mission while performing all duties and responsibilities. Participate in additional and/or special projects as required by management. Porter Skills Good safety habits Good verbal communications and problem resolutions skills. Ability to interact with a wide variety of people. Licensed to drive a vehicle; access to an insured motor vehicle in good working condition that will be driven daily for the job Possess own tools Ability to be on-call after hours, including nights, weekend and holidays. Porter Education and/or Experience Ability to read, write and do basic mathematics High school diploma and one (1) year of full-time maintenance employment required. HVAC and/or EPA certification nice to have but not required
