Job Description
Olde School Builders is looking for dependable, skilled Handymen to join our growing team of skilled craftsmen at one of the Eastern Shore's most prominent residential construction companies. As a well established residential design/build firm, we are now looking to substantially grow our handyman division. Position Overview The Handyman will perform a variety of residential repair, maintenance, remodeling, and finish-work tasks. The ideal candidate is a versatile tradesperson who can work independently, solve problems, communicate well with homeowners, and complete projects to a high standard. Responsibilities Perform general residential repairs and maintenance. Complete carpentry and finish-carpentry work. Install and repair doors, trim, molding, cabinets, shelving, and hardware. Perform drywall repair, patching, caulking, and touch-up work. Complete interior and exterior painting and staining. Repair or replace flooring and other finish materials. Perform minor plumbing and electrical-related repairs Assist with remodeling and home-improvement projects. Complete punch-list items and warranty work. Diagnose problems and determine appropriate repair solutions. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site. Accurately track materials, labor, and work completed. Follow Olde School Builders' quality and safety standards. Qualifications Residential construction or handyman experience required. Strong general carpentry skills. Ability to perform a variety of repair and finish-work tasks. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Reliable truck or van and a valid driver's license. Ability to work independently and manage daily assignments.
