Maintenance General Specialist
THE WORKThis requisition is for a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance General Sr. to join our Hanover, MD Facilities team within Lockheed Martin's Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) business area, supporting the various Line of Businesses (LOBs). This position is responsible for performing a wide range of facility maintenance and repair tasks to ensure buildings and equipment are maintained in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role requires knowledge of the facilities maintenance, analytical skills, effective communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet required deadlines, and priorities. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing excellent customer service while supporting daily operations. Specific duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Escort contractors throughout all buildings to complete various tasks and projects
- Perform facilities maintenance including walls repairs/paint, plumbing repairs, light fixture repairs and bulb replacement, and general carpentry
- Communicates the status of major repairs to the Facilities Manager
- Utilize the Lockheed Martin vehicle to deliver material, packages, and equipment
- Respond to after-hours facilities related emergencies
- Work flexible hours as required by the customer, including weekends and holidays when applicable
- Work overtime as required for extended tasks and projects
- Perform janitorial and housekeeping tasks as needed

- Must hold an active TS-SCI w/polygraph security clearance
- 3+ years of related experience and hold a High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, and hand and power tools
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 25lbs
- Must be able to after-hours/overtime as needed

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $51,800- $91,310.
