Job description Maintenance Position for a Busy Apartment Community (Charles County)

Job Summary:

A reliable Maintenance Technician is needed to maintain a busy apartment community. Valid Driver's License is a must. This employee will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks such as: plumbing, electrical and apartment turnovers. Experience working with HVAC and repairing appliances is a must. Ceramic tile and laminate flooring experience is preferred. This is an "On Call" position. Please email salary requirements along with your resume.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conducts the day-to day operations of the maintenance department
• Use of carpentry skills, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical and HVAC to complete tasks
• Completes service requests, make readies and assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Communicates and collaborates with office staff to provide updates regarding make readies and service request, etc.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices
• Trouble-shooting appliances
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• At least five years of maintenance experience required
• Holds certificate in

HVAC Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance
• Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed
• Must be able to lift
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have own hand tools

Job Type:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
