Job Description

Job Overview Bay Community Health (BCH) is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Patient Transport & Facilities Technician to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you will primarily provide safe, reliable transportation for patients to and from appointments, helping remove barriers to accessing quality healthcare. When transportation duties are not required, you will assist with routine facility maintenance, minor repairs, and general operational support to ensure our health centers remain safe, clean, and welcoming. Duties:
Transportation Transport patients to and from BCH appointments using a company vehicle when assigned. Safely assist individuals using wheelchairs or other devices. Provide respectful and supportive interaction with patients during transport. Pick up and deliver medical supplies between all locations. Maintain clean background clearance. Hold and renew hands-on CPR certification. Comply with HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards. Serve on the Emergency Preparedness Committee. Facilities & Maintenance Perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Conduct regular facility inspections and preventive maintenance. Respond to maintenance requests promptly. Maintain cleanliness of facility grounds and common areas. Set up furniture, equipment, and assist with office move. Follow OSHA standards and BCH safety policies. Identify and report facility hazards. Operate tools and equipment safely using required PPE. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Clean background check. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Knowledge of general maintenance duties. Ability to operate hand/power tools and company vehicles safely. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
