    What You Will DoAs a Building Technician II, you will perform basic maintenance and repairs to building components in accordance with all applicable industry standards, laws and regulations. Under the direction of a Carpenter or Facilities Supervisor, you will apply your construction and maintenance knowledge and skills to provide services to all County buildings. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with a basic carpentry knowledge.

    Essential Duties
    • Perform basic building maintenance tasks and assist with construction projects.
    • Operate a full range of maintenance and construction tools and equipment. Maintain specialized tools and equipment, including a small bucket truck.
    • Perform snow removal at County facilities as needed.
    • Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
    • Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
    • Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

    • Frequent physical activity: lifting and carrying over 50lbs, climbing ladders and steps, standing/walking, pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and related activities.
    • Must be able to perform work safely from a boom or aerial lift.
    • Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
