Location Bangor, Maine Employment Type Part Time Work Arrangement On Site Schedule This part-time 24-hour per week position requires someone who is flexible and able to work some daytime hours but primarily in the evening. Compensation $17.33-$22.53 per hour Job Overview Join our Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a part-time Facilities Technician. This position will be based out of our Bangor office with duties of cleaning facilities in the outer Bangor area, including Childcare Centers. This part-time 24-hour per week position requires someone who is flexible and able to work some daytime hours but primarily in the evening. Responsibilities Perform necessary cleaning to include, but not limited to, vacuuming, floor mopping, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, window washing, and emptying trash. Light building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, changing ceiling tiles, shoveling snow, and moving small equipment and furniture. Accept and record delivery of supplies and place supplies in storage. Provide basic ground maintenance at centers, including grass mowing, raking, pruning of shrubs, removal of snow, sanding, salting, and general upkeep. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; basic reading and writing skills; and computer literacy. Valid driver's license in good standing and may require reliable insured transportation. Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds. Must be willing to work varied schedule, including evenings and limited weekends. Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
